Game Rerun guide

Overview

Created by Alexander Yue, FLOWLINE sends you down a procedurally generated mountain. A shared world seed produces the same terrain. The route extends continuously, with trees, rocks and landing orientation affecting how long you stay upright.

Distance, speed, FLOW and timed splits have separate displays. Online riders on the same mountain can see one another and their lines, with each player controlling their own rider.

Controls

A/D or ←/→
Lean and carve. Hold one direction for a sustained arc; use left or right in the air to spin.
S or ↓
Tuck to build speed and grip while loading a jump.
Space/W/↑
Pop a jump. Use lips and rollers for takeoff, with a landing spot in mind.
Shift
Grab in the air; scrub speed on the ground. Release before touchdown to preserve balance and the landing reward.
Q/E
Q back-flips and E front-flips. Allow time to finish the rotation and align the board for landing.
P/Esc; R
P or Esc pauses. Press R while riding to end the run, then return to the mountaintop for another attempt.
T
Toggle timing and the 10K, 25K, 50K and 100K splits.
Touch controls
Hold the left or right side to lean, TUCK to lower your stance and POP to jump. Front and back flips are keyboard-only; there are no touch buttons for them.

Before you play

  • Allow room for a sustained arc and settle on the edge before changing direction. Rapid alternating inputs lower the FLOW target even when individual turns stay clean.
  • Choose a landing direction before loading a pop near a lip. Align the board on touchdown before chasing long airtime or complex flips.
  • A grab can preserve FLOW in the air, but holding it at touchdown costs balance and the landing reward. Release Shift as you prepare to land.
  • Pick a clear line around trees and rocks early rather than betting on a last-second correction. Lost balance also limits FLOW recovery.

Known limitations

FAQ

Is FLOW a score or speed?

FLOW measures your current riding quality and sets the speed ceiling. Gravity supplies acceleration; distance and speed have separate readouts. A full ring does not accelerate the board by itself.

Why can rapid steering reduce speed?

Rapid edge changes interrupt smooth carving and lower FLOW. Hold a wider arc and let your grip and balance recover before changing direction again.

Can I still ride when SOLO is displayed?

Yes. You can ride alone in SOLO and practise turning, jumping and landing.
