Overview

The game uses familiar Wario actions such as jumping, barging, carrying stunned enemies, and throwing them. Some rooms also use foreground and background layers to build platforming around the Virtual Boy's depth effect.

A stage is cleared by finding its key and opening the locked elevator. Treasure is hidden in every non-boss stage, so a direct route to the exit is not always the most rewarding route.

Controls

W / A / S / D

K (emulated A)

Start or pause

Before you play

  • Stomp an enemy first, then pick it up and throw it into another enemy before it bounces away.
  • Search side rooms before entering the elevator. Non-boss stages can hide treasure away from the shortest route.
  • A running jump covers more distance, but the current keyboard panel does not expose the original L and R dash buttons, so treat long-jump sections cautiously.

Known limitations

  • The player keyboard panel does not show mappings for the original L and R dash buttons, so the full original move set is not confirmed on keyboard.
